Dear Friends:

As we celebrate the successful completion of our much-appreciated Thanksgiving celebrations and continue preparing for Christmas, I would like to thank you for all you do, review our mission, and answer a few questions regarding the impact of your partnership with us.

What is the outreach ministry of the NY Race Track Chaplaincy?

Each of us performs outreach when we look beyond ourselves.

The vital outreach ministry of the NY Chaplaincy serves the Thoroughbred horse racing industry’s backstretch villages and surrounding farms, and impacts the broader communities surrounding Belmont Park, Aqueduct Racetrack, and Saratoga Race Course.

When you volunteer, donate, advise, or pray for us, you join with us as a member of our outreach team. By doing so you are performing a selfless act that makes the team stronger, more resilient, and capable of responding to global factors such as a worldwide health crisis, and individual situations such as a family issue requiring immediate

What does the team accomplish?

We seek to serve in ways which are impactful over the short and long-term. Through our programming we provide the tools necessary to allow individuals to become the best people, spouses, parents, and employees they can possibly be.

Our programs are tailored for individual situations, and for 36 years the NY Chaplaincy has been providing services such as hot meals to those in emergency situations, safe spaces for women to learn and grow, technological assistance to those lacking in computer skills or resources, and cultural and other after-school activities to expand
the minds of our youth.

What is the impact of my support?

We are poised for our next level of growth, and we invite you to join with us as we expand our services thanks to the construction of the Chaplaincy Center at Belmont Park, which is well along the way towards completion. Plans for the use of this space include:

•Expansion of Women’s Enrichment and Teen Mentoring Programs
•Music development for children
•Parenting Classes
•College Preparation
•Community Fairs
•Meeting space for community non-profits
•Chapel Service

I want to personally thank you for your faithful support.

I know that when God places upon your heart the mission of service, it is a gift to you as well as to others and I am grateful for you and for all we have the privilege of serving.

In the words of 11 year old Arón, a participant in our summer enrichment program:

“Thank you for my backpack and for my summer. Please pray for me because I will pray for you.”

May you find it in your heart to continue to support our shared mission.

We are blessed to walk this path in partnership with you.

Thank you and may God Bless You.
