Highlights from the Holidays

Kent Denver School   held their 5th annual clothing drive and sorting party on November 16. The Sun Devils collected 217 bags of clothing, 127 pairs of shoes and almost 700 pairs of new socks and underwear. Special thanks to Christina Caulkins and Sue Schimmel for organizing the drive, and to the 30+ parent volunteers who sorted, counted, bagged and delivered the donations.
Clothes To Kids  was the lucky recipient of the Mission Monday program at  Altar'd Stat e . We received a percentage of their third quarter sales, a donation of $5,106! Altar'd State is located on the first floor of  Cherry Creek Shopping Center . Stop by and thank them for their generous support!

On December 2, our long-time friend, Betsy Abrams held her 15th annual benefit brunch supporting  Clothes To Kids James Resource Network  and  Kenya's Kidz . Betsy's generous guests donated more than $2,200 in gift cards and checks, plus two SUV loads of clothing, shoes, new underwear and new socks.

Long-time Clothes To Kids supporters Call To Arms Brewing Company collected coats and shoes for our shoppers at their Tennyson St. Holiday Rumpus & Market on December 18. Patrons who brought a coat or a pair of shoes received a $2.00 Core Pint - a great deal for a great cause!

Singers of the Kantorei   choral ensemble collected nearly 1,000 pairs of new socks and underwear at their December concert series. It was one of the biggest Undie 500 collections of the season.
Jason Granger   and the team at the Infinity Marketing Group threw a formal holiday party at the the EDGE Restaurant & Bar in the Four Seasons Hotel Denver on December 21 to raise money to buy items for Clothes To Kids shoppers. Top donors were invited to go on a coat and winter item shopping spree after the event.

Volunteers from Kaiser Permanente   celebrated the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with us on January 15. Kaiser provided $2,500 toward supplies, clothing, shoes, socks and underwear along with many hours sorting, tagging, personal shopping and cleaning. Everyone at Clothes To Kids, especially our student shoppers, very much appreciates these gifts of time and funding.
