Irma’s primary focus of research is child abuse and neglect, family treatment, and attachment related disorders. She is trained in EMDR, TF-CBT and IGT-K. She worked with refugee populations, foster children and families with multiple psychopathology.
Nathalie Schlattmann

Nathalie Schlattmann is a clinical psychologist and family therapist. She specialized in working with chronically traumatized children and adolescents. She is a trainer and consultant TF-CBT and an EMDR Europe consultant.
She currently works for a regional team at Levvel in Amsterdam and is one of the experts at the Trauma Attachment and Family team of Levvel.
In her therapeutic practice with chronically traumatized children she found that for these children, TF-CBT and EMDR were not satisfactory. She discovered the methodology of Debra Wesselmann and colleagues and arranged for it to be tailored to the Dutch population. The method is now being tested on effectiveness for use in the Netherlands by Mara Van Der Hoeven and Irma Hein at the University of Amsterdam. The method has been named IGT-K in the Netherlands.
