Advancing Disability Awareness in Medicine Module


Feinberg faculty and students have developed the Advancing Disability Awareness in Medicine (ADAM) Module. This 33 minute module will allow participants to:

  1. Define terms used to elicit and communicate disability status.
  2. Utilize tools to effectively and respectfully communicate with patients with disabilities.
  3. Discuss systemic and structural barriers to healthcare experienced by people with disabilities.
  4. Identify resources to improve accessibility.

Augusta Webster Faculty Fellowship | Applications Open



The Augusta Webster Faculty Augusta Webster Faculty Fellowship in Educational Research and Innovation is an opportunity for career development through investigator proposed projects in health professions education. Applications are now open for the 2024-2026 Fellowship cycle. The deadline to submit applications is December 22, 2023. Click here to review fellowship requirements.


The goals of the Fellowship are to:

- Provide mentorship, support and career development to junior faculty members establishing careers involving research in health professions education.

- Promote innovation in health professions education research.

- Serve as pilot funds to lead to future research grants.

Grand Rounds Sessions

  • Schedule a CME-accredited medical education session for grand rounds. Choose from a variety of session topics or propose a new one. 

Bias Training

  • Schedule a grand rounds session focused on reducing bias and enhancing inclusivity in healthcare and medical education environments.

Clinical Faculty Consulting

  • Connect with education experts who can provide individualized clinical faculty development approaches, ranging from online modules to teaching observations with feedback and coaching.

Direct Observational Teaching

  • Submit a request to be observed by an educational expert or to become a mentor observer.

Medical Decision Making Small Group Leader Opportunity


AWOME is looking for additional faculty to precept their first-year medical student small groups for the course Medical Decision Making (MDM) during the second half of the 2023-24 academic year starting in January 2024. MDM is the curricular thread that teaches our M1 and M2 students evidence-based medicine and medical decision making. They are looking for preceptors on Tuesday, Thursday, and possibly Monday afternoons - contact MDM coordinator Alise Blunk for specific dates. If you are interested in teaching or being added to the substitute leader list, please let the MDM team know by filling out this form - MDM Recruitment Form.
