FAME Members "Make a Wish" Come True
July 18 and 19 Lurie Children's Hospital welcomed 12-year old Melanie Romo to her first day of Medical School. Through Make-A-Wish Illinois, Melanie scrubbed up to be a doctor for a day and "treated" a patient with gall stones during her experience. FAME members Karen Mangold, MD, MEd, Anisha Kshetrapal, MD, MSE, and Mark Adler, MD played vital roles in making this important experience happen. For more on this incredible event, view the story on ABC7 Chicago's website.
