A Few Words from Mestre Acordeon

Dear Friend,

I am very happy to be home after more than one year of B2B and almost five months on a capoeira tour abroad. I missed my students, local friends, and the Bay Area as a great place to live. My return entails to face many challenges, and I am excited to ride the bumps and hills on the road ahead. One of the greatest challenges is to bring our school to a new level of what we have been offering to our students and community. We need all of us to make this happen. The kids program is going fine, but we need all the grown ups in the same boat. Collectively, it is easier to create the magic that feeds our souls and energizes our bodies. There are more of us to challenge one another, making our capoeira, our music, and our lives more exciting and productive. As the song, "capoeira me chama" cries to the rhythm of the berimbaus, I'm feeling called and committed to do my share of work.

By the way, this coming Sunday we will have the fundraiser RODA-THON  to support Projeto KirimurĂª. If you haven't already considered to make a symbolic contribution to this cause, please spend a few minutes exploring the site to learn about it. See how easy it is to extend your hand to help a child in need and how gratifying is this gesture. Join the team, sleep better, and recharge your batteries.  The RODA-THON will begin at 1:00 pm.

I am very grateful to all of you for your friendship and support. Lets move forward.

P.S. The B2B Joga Capoeira projects are in progress.

FROM THE OFFICE, PLEASE NOTE: We have set our sights on a goal of $45,000 for this year's RODA-THON; however, we hope to surpass that amount. Let's fulfill our vision of creating long term sustainability for the these children who need a helping hand.
