Some jobs are hard and some easier. Jobs can bring pride, and some bring pain. There are jobs of manual labor, and jobs of the mind. A job brings income and the ability to pay the bills. A job brings meaning to many people’s lives. You can lose a job, and get a new job. You can go to school for a job, or create a job for yourself.
I’ve had a few jobs in my life. As a teenager, I worked in a Deli. It was so much fun. I loved selling good food to people!
My first job after college, was a "calling". As Funeral Director I counseled people at a most difficult time in their lives. It was an important job, one which I took a great deal of pride in.
Then at the age of forty, I changed to my current job in the financial field. So much to study, so far removed from my school years. This has been a job I love, a job I continue to work hard at, and one where I make an important difference in people’s lives by protecting their money so they can continue their lifestyles, and enjoy their lives.
But the Greatest Job I have ever had, the job that has been the hardest, most demanding, the job that has brought some pain, but has by far brought me the most happiness; the Job that I have had to learn on my own every day, and will continue to learn as each day goes forward, has been my greatest Job of all.
This Job has been the most meaningful part of my life. It has brought me the greatest pride and joy; is the Job of being father to my three wonderful son’s Kyle, Dane & Alex!
