A Big (Screen) Invite

HEA was founded way back in 2006. It's hard to believe that we're already celebrating 15 years of HEART! To celebrate this important milestone and kick off Hour of Love 2021, we have planned a special evening at the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center on Thursday, July 22.

YOU'RE INVITED
As a friend to companion animals, you're invited to a complimentary showing of Rescue Story - Saving Companion Animals.
(There's an FAQ section at the bottom of this invite to answer any early questions.)

WHAT TO EXPECT
After viewing Rescue Story, your heart will connect to the cause on a much deeper level. This internationally award-winning film broadens perspectives and offers key insights as to just how important the companion animal welfare movement is. Prepare your heart for brief moments of sadness, but ultimately ready yourself for an abundance of hope!

MAKING THE FILM
In July 2019, three members of the HEA team traveled to Corpus Christi, Texas. We met up with a number of our rescue partners. We were also joined by some familiar friends - Shaman Motion Pictures. They came with cameras in hand and a general storyline in mind.

In the making of Rescue Story - Saving Companion Animals, the film crew captured footage on more than 30 different days. As this beautiful piece was compiled, HEA was asked more than once to share our voice. The end result features HEA as prominent storytellers.

Fast forward to today, Rescue Story has made its way through film festivals all over the world. Along the way, it claimed laurels in India, Spain, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Canada, and also back home in California, Texas, and New York.
SPECIAL THANKS

We look forward to seeing you and your guests on July 22! Together we will create a world where the life of every companion animal matters…Every.Single.One.
See you at the show!

RESCUE STORY FAQ

  • Q: What should I wear?
  • A: Attire for this free night at the movies is "anything goes," especially HEA branded apparel!

  • Q: Is Rescue Story appropriate for all ages?
  • A: The overall tone of Rescue Story is extremely uplifting. There are a very small number of clips where parental guidance could be valuable. These clips are very brief, and they do not linger throughout the film. We suggest each parent make a decision based upon their own comfort level for their child(ren).

  • Q: Can I bring my pet to the show?
  • A: Pets will have to sit this one out, but we've got permission and plans for a very special appearance. Stay tuned!

  • Q: Do I need a ticket?
  • A: After you reserve your seat, you will receive an email confirmation. That email will act as your ticket.

  • Q: Is this a fundraising event?
  • A: Attendance is completely free for all guests. The showing of Rescue Story is the "opening act" to HEA's 3rd annual Hour of Love weekend. As part of this exciting kickoff, any donations made at the Rescue Story event will be matched 2:1. This means $1 becomes $3! Thank you to the many thoughtful corporations and individuals who have made it possible for HEA to change more lives by sponsoring this uniquely generous match!
