Healthy Food. Stable Homes. Safe Relationships
K-Love Interview: A Closer Look At CRC
One of my favorite things to do is share the story of CRC: the resilience and determination of our clients, the dedication of our staff and volunteers, the generosity of our donors.

I enjoy doing this because many people see a bit of CRC – like our Holiday Baskets program, resale stores, or food distribution – and imagine it’s all of CRC. The reality is that CRC is more than most people imagine, and I hope you’ll listen to this interview on Air1 radio to discover more.

Programs: Domestic Violence
October 20 – Today – is Purple Thursday!
During October's Domestic Violence Awareness Month, CRC participates in activities and events to build awareness, support survivors and advocate to end the violence.

Everyday, CRC helps individuals and families facing the trauma of violence and focuses on the intervention and prevention of domestic violence through our educational programs, 24/7 hotline, emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling and other wraparound programs.

Today we ask that you wear purple to show your support for domestic violence survivors and to help build awareness. Post your photo on social media and be sure to tag @SanDiegoCRC and use the hashtags #WeAreResilient #Every1KnowsSome1
Building Advocacy
Last Friday, 50+ professionals from different fields completed CRC's 40-Hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training at One Safe Place, and are now certified Domestic Violence Advocates, helping domestic violence survivors find healing and hope.
Training Staff & Volunteers
CRC new staff, volunteers and board members gathered at Seacoast Community Church for a 4-hour domestic violence training on October 14. This training is held on a regular basis to provide more information to our team members.

Part of the training involves a deeply moving and eye-opening session called, "Walking In Her Shoes" where each person follows the steps of a DV victim's story from beginning to end. Trainings like these build empathy and advocacy skills that can help end the cycles of domestic abuse in our community.
