The Bicentennial Organ

A Campaign Challenge

St. Paul's publicly launched The Bicentennial Organ Project in March 2021 to both honor the beauty and importance of music in the life of St. Paul's and to replace the aging and ailing 1972 Schantz organ. To date we have raised/pledged in excess of $1 million towards the final goal of $1.25 million.

Through their generosity and strong belief in this project, Cinda and George Hurt have offered a challenge to our larger congregation and friends; they will match all NEW and/or additional gifts up to a total of $50,000 1 for 1. This match applies only to new gifts, not existing pledges that are being fulfilled. It does include increases to existing pledges, so if you wish to "up your pledge" they will match the "up amount."

Hear what St. Paul's parishioners are saying about the project.

Our Parishioners in their own words

Since the installation of the first organ at St. Paul's in 1826, this parish has led Lynchburg in both organ and choral music; continue this long tradition that has placed St. Paul's in such high esteem. Click below to make a new/additional pledge to the Bicentennial Organ Campaign.
