IT HAS HAPPENED. THE MOVE HAS BEGUN!
The move of the Columbus Rescue Mission from 1471-25th Avenue to its current location of 1112-15th Street has been completed for men overnight guests. We are still in need of financial donations to complete the work that must be done to finish painting, cleaning, etc. at the new facility as we will be opening the women's rooms and the family rooms in the very near future. If God puts it on your heart to make a donation or to volunteer with the cleaning or painting, please contact the mission at 402-563-1096 and ask for Karen or Pastor Justin.

MARCH 2024
Today we helped a man successfully move out of the Columbus Rescue Mission and into his own apartment. It was encouraging to see him happy to be in his own place after spending a few weeks here. We were able to help him with some things to go into his new place too since he really had nothing to start with. While he was here, he heard the gospel many times, was able to eat three meals a day and he had a warm and safe place to sleep. He is just one of many individuals that come through the mission and are able to turn their lives around because of your support. We are so grateful for how you have supported us here at the Columbus and Living Water Rescue Mission! Without your donations of food, clothing, housewares, sheets, blankets, money and many other things we would not be able to help anyone. Would you be willing to continue supporting the ministry here? We need your ongoing support to continue to share the gospel, serve the food, provide the beds and everything else that is required to run the Mission. We look forward to seeing all of the ladies at our upcoming Women’s Brunches. (Columbus is on April 13th and York is on April 20th) RSVP by calling the office in Columbus or York if you are interested in attending.
I have been able to get out and speak at a number of churches over the last few months and I would love to come and speak to your church in whatever setting works for you. If you would be willing to have me come to your church and fill the pulpit or just give an update about the mission, please give me a call at 402-563-1096.
Please continue to pray for the guests and staff of the Columbus and Living Water Rescue Mission! We need your prayers!
For His Glory,
Pastor Justin Fisher

More Progress at the Columbus Rescue Mission
One of our goals for 2024 is to complete the Women and Family Wing of our new building. We are making progress, but we still have a ways to go. Some of our needs include: money for plumbing, 10 metal bunk beds, curtains and much more! If you haven’t seen our new building, stop by for a tour.

"Service and Celebration: Honoring our Dedicated Volunteers"
By LaVerna Smith
Dedication, commitment, and a heart for serving others. These are just a few qualities that describe Stephanie and Tiffany, two of our incredible volunteers at the Living Water Rescue Mission. Every week, they selflessly give their time and energy to help in our clothing barn, assisting those in need in our community. Their smiling faces and willingness to lend a hand bring joy to all those around them. Recently, we had the privilege of celebrating these two volunteers for their victory in a basketball game. It was a moment of pride and happiness to see them receive their blue ribbon, a symbol of their hard work and teamwork, paying off. Their success on the court is a reflection of their dedication and spirit of collaboration in everything they do.
These volunteers are truly shining stars in our community, making a difference in the lives of others with kindness and compassion. They are an inspiration to us all. We are grateful for the presence they have on our mission and community.
As we continue to work together, may their victory on the basketball court serve as a reminder of the victories we can achieve when we come together to support one another. Here's to many more celebrations, victories, and moments of joy shared with these two amazing volunteers. Thank you for all that you do. You are truly appreciated.
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received, to serve others as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." - 1st Peter 4:10
This verse from the Bible reminds us of the importance of using our gifts and talents to serve others, just as our volunteers have done at the mission. Their selfless dedication to helping those in need reflects the spirit of stewardship and grace that we are called to embody. May we all be inspired to follow their example and use our own gifts to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

A MINISTRY ASSOCIATE IS NEEDED IN YORK
Billy Graham once said; The highest form of worship is the worship of unselfish Christian service.
There is great opportunity for men and woman of faith in Christ to unselfishly serve in rescue ministry. Jesus said, “The greatest among you will be your servant”. Please consider serving at Living Water Rescue Mission in York where you will be able to come alongside and encourage the hurting and the homeless in the name of Jesus Christ.
If you are a Christian with a biblical world view and want to serve in ministry, we need a single male or a married couple for a live-in position in York. We have a one-bedroom apartment for you to live onsite and cover overnight and weekend duties. Applicants must be active in a local church fellowship.
If you are interested, please call James Johnson at 402-362-0127 for more information.

Prayer Time at the Columbus and Living Water Rescue Mission
Matthew 18:19-20 "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."
The power of prayer is so amazing. It is the time when God wants to share with us. Prayer by the individual is powerful in its own right, but when "two or three are gathered" the time spent in prayer can be an experience that we will never forget for the rest of our earthly lives.
We would like to invite you to share with us in prayer at our monthly prayer meetings at the Columbus Rescue Mission in Columbus and at the Living Water Rescue Mission in York. Prayer meetings are held in York the second Thursday of each month at 7 PM. The March meeting will be held on March 14 and the April meeting will be held on April 11 at the Living Water Rescue Mission. Prayer meetings are held in Columbus the last Thursday of each month at 10 AM. The March meeting will be held on March 29 at the Columbus Rescue Mission and the April meeting will be held on April 25. If you have any questions (or would like more information) please call Karen at 402-563-1096 in Columbus or LaVerna at 402-362-0127 in York. Please consider praying with us!
