Happy weekend Artisans,
I've been sounding the alarm for months about this.
If you prefer not to pay over $1,000 btl for blue chip Grand Cru Burgundy, then we're looking at likely the last opportunity right now.
Allow me to qualify that with data:

Below are Wine-Searcher's most searched Burgundies
(as of their report posted 6/21/21)

$937 btl is the average price of the latest Clos de Tart, 2020.
What do you think the next vintage's average price will be?
Definitely over $1,000.
You may say this is due to inflation, and the economy could see a recession.
Okay, let's look at the historical data:
The 2002 and 2005 vintages have delivered absolute returns of 232.8% and 189.7% respectively over the past 10-years (Exhibit 1 below)
This performance is indicative of the wider market and compared to Bordeaux, Burgundy has seen its overall performance soar to record high levels:

Clos de Tart History:
Clos de Tart is one of the world's oldest, most revered, yet most exclusive wine estates producing wine for over nine centuries.
Like most Burgundian vineyards, its story begins with a religious order. Records show that in 1141 the vineyard was sold to the nuns of Nôtre Dame de Tart by the Knights Hospitaller. By 1791 the nuns had been dispossessed and the Marey-Monge family took over. They kept it until 1932, when it was bought by the Mommessin family.

Fast forward to today:
The estate was just purchased about three years ago by the holding group of billionaire businessman François Pinault, who also owns Château Latour, making them only the fourth owners in almost 900 years of history.
Even more remarkable still, it's one of only six Grand Cru "monopoles" in Burgundy (where Grand Cru is the highest classification). This select club includes La Romanée-Conti, La Romanée and La Tâche - some of the most sought-after and expensive wines in the world.
We're down to the last magnum and few bottles of 2016, 2014 and 2013.
We're also down to 12 bottles of three 2020 releases of Domaine des Lambrays, which Robert Parker's Wine Advocate described as "the finest Clos des Lambrays of the 21st century".
All of these years were extremely limited in production, making them even more elusive.
Reviews are consistently outstanding, even with the changes in ownership, as you will see from the notes below.
Cheers!
—James

Domaine Michel Gros Nuits St. Georges 2014
93 Points - Wine Spectator:
"A powerful yet smooth red boasting black cherry, black currant, violet and mineral flavors, this is vibrant and focused, with a long aftertaste of stone and spice. Best from 2020 through 2032. 440 cases made." – BS (Jun 30, 2017)
93 Points - Decanter:
"Black cherry nose with sweet spices, a velvety texture and a plummy finish."(2/2016)

Domaine Louis Boillot et Fils Pommard 1er Cru Les Croix Noires 2013
92 Points - Vinous:
"...aromas of raspberry, graphite and blood orange. Dense, sappy and intense, conveying a strong mineral element as well as a delicate violet quality to its red and darker berry flavors. Boasts terrific inner-mouth tension and a light touch. This precise, fine-grained wine boasts uncanny sensuality considering that it's carrying barely 12% alcohol... Drink between 2023-2033." (90-92 pts)
91 Points - Burghound:
"A layered and appealingly perfumed nose is composed of red cherry, raspberry liqueur and rose petal aromas that display an undertone of warm earth. There is good volume and a sleek mouth feel to the delicious and energetic middle weight flavors that possess a slightly tough but not really drying finish. Drink starting 2019." (88-91 pts)

Domaine Pierre Gelin Chambertin 'Clos de Beze' Grand Cru 2013
94 Points - Wine Spectator:
"This is laced with violet, black currant and blackberry flavors, accented by earth and tobacco notes. The tannins are firm, intensified by the vibrant acidity. Shows a streak of purity and pedigree that makes this complex, long and appealing. Best from 2020 through 2035. 66 cases imported." - BS (May 31, 2016)
92 Points - Burghound:
"This is also a wine of contrasts as the well-layered nose combines brooding and somber fruit aromas with exuberantly spicy and floral elements. There is good punch to the attractively rich and moderately concentrated flavors that exude a subtle bead of minerality on the naturally sweet and well-balanced finale. This is very much crafted in the classic Gelin style with its emphasis on finesse and refinement which is in no small part due to the fine-grained tannins." (Jan 2016)

Domaine Jean Grivot Echezeaux Grand Cru 2011
94 Points - Decanter:
"Gorgeous, exquisite nose, with lifted red fruits, almost minty. Rich but supple, very concentrated, but fine-grained tannins. Palate is intense and lifted, with purity but not at the expense of force. Excellent length. Drinking Window 2016 - 2028" - Stephen Brook (May 2015)
93 Points - Burghound:
"There is an herbal hint on the black fruit liqueur, spice and earthy aromas. This is a relatively big yet refined effort that possesses an admirable amount of mid-palate density as there is plenty palate staining dry extract on the linear and muscular finish that imparts a textured, even opulent mouth feel. This should drink well both young and old." - (Jan 15, 2014)

Louis Jadot Domaine Gagey Beaune Aux Cras Premier Cru 2017
93 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
"This full, generously textured wine comes from one of the lesser-known of the Beaune premier crus. Its structure and juicy berry fruits are ripe and concentrated, with a smoky touch at the end."
93 Points - Burghound:
"...essence of red currant and spice wisps. There elegant, refined and intensely mineral-suffused medium weight flavors possess outstanding definition along with evident power on the beautifully long finish that is shared by a firm core of fine-grained tannins."
92+ Points - Robert Parker's WA:
"...showing beautifully, unfurling in the glass with an inviting bouquet of sweet red berries, raw cocoa and dried orange rind that's already superbly integrated, albeit still a little shy after its recent bottling. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, velvety and supple, with a fleshy core of succulent fruit framed by exquisitely refined tannins."
