State Street to 700 West

Next week, crews will patch potholes on 9000 South near I-15. Be prepared for lane closures and traffic shifts while this work takes place.

700 West to 900 West

Next week, crews will patch potholes and painting lane lines and markings between 700 West and Redwood Road. Be prepared for lane closures and traffic shifts while this work takes place.

Work continues on the outside lanes for the new bridge over the Jordan River with the concrete for the new bridge walls being poured this week into next.

Asphalt paving will take place this weekend on the approaches for both the north and south sections of the bridge over the Jordan River.

Work on the storm drain service lines may require short-term driveway access interruptions.

Patrons to the River Oaks Driving Range may only enter and leave eastbound on 9000 South. See the detour map below.

900 West to 1300 West

Beginning as early as April 25, 2024, water meters will be relocated for properties on the south side of 9000 South. Affected property owners will be notified on upcoming impacts.

Work on storm drain service lines will require the closure of the south leg of 1075 West in the coming weeks. Once a date has been selected, affected property owners will be given notice.

Work on block walls on the south side of 9000 South has begun in this section.

Work on the storm drain and water service lines may require short-term driveway access interruptions. Alternate business accesses are open and posted.

1300 West to Redwood Road

Work on the storm drain and water service lines will require shifting traffic on the south leg of 1510 West. Two-way traffic will be maintained. Motorists should watch for changing traffic patterns.

Road Closure Information

Eastbound 9000 South left turn closed at 700 West


The left turning lane to 700 West from eastbound 9000 South has been closed through summer 2024.

Slow Down - Give 'em a Brake! 


The speed limit has been reduced to 35 miles per hour through the entire work zone from 600 West to Redwood Road. 

Sidewalks have been removed on the south side of 9000 South. Use the north side as an alternate route.

Sidewalk Closures


Crews have removed the sidewalks on the south side of 9000 South throughout the corridor. Pedestrians are encouraged to use the north side of 9000 South and should follow posted detours.


Safe Routes to School for Riverside Elementary will be maintained on 1300 West and 1510 West.

Information for bicyclists and pedestrians


All bicycles need to use the approved detour and avoid 9000 South and pedestrians are prohibited from using 9000 South between 700 West and 900 West as there are no pedestrian pathways/shoulders on 9000 South.
