REMINDERS
Free Flu Shots Offered at School
Tuesday, September 22nd Health Hero Florida will be offering free flu shots at Morning Star. If you would like your student to receive the flu shot a parent or guardian must fill out and return a consent form for each child by September 18th. You may return the form via email to jrodriguez@morningstar-jax.org, fax at 904-721-1040, or with your child.

September Mass

This Thursday, September 17th at 10:00 am our school Mass will be held at Christ the King Church. It is a uniform day for all students. 

Mass will be live streamed and distance learning students are required to attend virtually. Attendance will be counted towards their religion grade. Parents and families are also welcome to view virtually.

Diocesan Rosary Congress
Monday, September 28-29th, Assumption Parish will host a diocesan Rosary Congress.

Please Help with Cat and/or Dog Food Donations
The Jacksonville Humane Society is running dangerously low on pet food for dogs and cats due to the pandemic. If you are able, we encourage you to donate bagged dog and cat food next week. We will deliver the donations to the Humane Society this Friday, September 18th.

High School Dismissal Reminder
High school students should enter and exit the building through the glass doors leading to the junior high/high school building - NOT the main entrance. This precaution helps to limit germ exposure among groups of students. 
2020 Scholastic Book Fair
September 21st - October 4th, we will hold the our annual Scholastic Book Fair.

There will be a "dress like your favorite book character day" for all students on September 25th.

Corbin Joins the Parachute Fun during P.E.
PRIMARY NEWS
Primary had a blast at P.E. playing parachute games! One game was to be a turtle. So fun!
Students enjoy outside time making their own chalk art creations!
INTERMEDIATE NEWS

At home learner, Brandon, shared his workout video for show and tell with his class!

Download the NEW Box Tops App Today!
Box Tops is a great way to earn fundraising dollars! And now there is a new phone app which makes it easier to earn points for our school! Shop as you normally would, then simply scan your store receipts to find participating products. The app will automatically credit your school's Box Tops earnings online. It's a much easier way to help us earn dollars.

You may still clip Box Tops and send them to school. Physical Box Tops clips are being phased out of production but may continue to be found on many products throughout the store.

A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER...
  • Turn in your box tops weekly. They do expire.
  • Be sure to NOT cut the code off. We cannot use it if the code is missing even one of the digits
  • Place them in a zip lock bag and send them in with your student.
