The Politicization of Education: Reaching and Teaching in a
Divided Landscape
In his keynote presentation, Rodney will explore the ways that education is being pulled in various directions around competing ideologies regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion. As educators, how do we navigate this highly charged landscape while remaining true to our schools' missions and visions? What can we do in our classrooms, hallways, and in our own lives to help bridge divides and promote belonging? What do educators in our schools right now need to be aware of as we meet the challenges of the day? Rodney will examine these questions through the lens of his own experiences in education.
