Saint John the Baptist Catholic School Newsletter

Dear SJB Families,

As we embark on a new year, I am filled with gratitude. In the days leading up to the first day of school, we plan, hope, and pray for everything to go smoothly. Yet, there's always a touch of anxiety that comes with it. However, as soon as those sweet faces begin to walk through the door, all worries fade away. It’s incredible to see how much some of our 8th-grade boys have grown over the summer—some seem to have shot up six inches! Our first and second graders were full of excitement to be back in the building. The energy in the school was infectious, and it’s impossible to feel anything but deep appreciation for our wonderful school community.

Father Mark made it a point to visit every classroom (quite an impressive feat) and brought a small gift for everyone! We are truly blessed to have a priest like Father Mark, who prioritizes spending time with the students in their classrooms. The students did an excellent job learning new procedures and adapting to changes. It was a fantastic first day!

This year, our school will focus on growing in virtue. The virtuous life is the path to holiness—it's not always easy, but it's what God calls us to pursue. We’ll be sharing more information soon, and we’ll need your support! As the primary educators of your children, we want all families to be actively involved in our virtue program. We believe this initiative will be truly transforming!

See you at Mass!!!
