Raptor Football Team Seeks Student A/V Volunteers
The AMHS Raptor football team is seeking talented students to form a dynamic audio/video team. We're looking for individuals with a keen eye for action and an interest in A/V technology:
Videographer: Capture the excitement of every play, from breathtaking touchdowns to inspiring highlights.
Audio Assistant: Assist the coaches with their in-game communication to help our Raptors play their best.
No experience necessary! It's rather simple and we'll teach you everything you need to know. If you're ready to take your media skills to the next level and be part of a winning team, we want to hear from you!
Students will receive service hours for their assistance and any student(s) that completes the 10-game season will receive a complimentary all-sports pass for Raptor Athletics.
Please contact Coach Knauer at raymond_knauer@charleston.k12.sc.us

Schedule change requests may be made through 8/23/24. Requests will be considered on a first-come basis, as class capacity allows.

The first Raptor Athlete-of-the-Week for 2024-25 was presented today to Sawyer Quertermous '25 of Raptor Swimming. Sawyer was nominated by Coaches Healy and Harley. In her nomination, Coach Healy said, "Sawyer emerged this week as a standout leader of the swim team. Sawyer stepped up and volunteered without being asked to help teammates work on skills and answering questions of those new to the team. Sawyer approached each practice with grit and determination, encouraging his teammates to do the same. Sawyer truly represents what it means to be an AMHS Raptor student athlete." Similarly, in his nomination, Coach Harley said, "Sawyer has stepped up as a senior on the boys' swim team. From the first practice, he has taken initiative every day to be as helpful as possible. From helping lead daily stretches to passing our forms to giving tips to new members of the team; he is the definition of a leader and a great example of what AMHS athletics is about." Congratulations, Sawyer!
