Helping U.S. Cities Navigate the Path to Meet their Renewable Energy Goals

Encouraging and providing support to U.S. cities so that they can achieve their renewable energy goals continues to be one of the most important ways to impact climate change. The
American Cities Climate Challenge Renewables Accelerator project aims to do just that with a highly collaborative effort from key organizations led by the Bloomberg American Cities Climate Challenge.

City of Roanoke, VA Transforms Vacant Homes Into Affordable Housing

Like many cities, Roanoke has a decent share of properties with broken or boarded up windows, damaged walls, or crumbling foundation. The city recently established a land bank--a large body of land held by a public or private organization for future development--to transform vacant, derelict, or blighted housing into affordable housing for the city's residents.
