“Some of the best memories are made in flip-flops.”

- Kellie Elmore
The final taste of summer is happening now.

Call me a spoiler alert, but fall is coming. Guess what? It's going to snow again too! Let's not act surprised by any of this! Instead, let's be prepared and excited for all that is to come. I think the best way to get ready for fall, is to properly say farewell to summer.

So how do we say goodbye to summer? Luckily Google had the answer and shared it with me. And now I will share it with you!

PS. You have 7 days.
I love so many of the ideas on this list! One of my favorites is "be a tourist in your own city". Bullseye! It might genuinely surprise you to discover all of the amazing things Elkhorn and our surrounding neighbors have to offer!
So one last tidbit I feel obliged to share with you is this day-tripper map. You may need more than one day to explore all that there is to offer on this beautifully crafted map. However, you might also find yourself checking off a few of the summer bucket list items. Winning!
Now, back to fall...if you haven't marked your calendar for Elkhorn Oktoberfest on October 16th, please do so! And not because I said to, but because your fall bucket list will demand it.

Old World Foundation surpasses fundraising goal and
purchases “beer delivery truck” for Old World Wisconsin.
Thanks to the many people who donated to fund the immediate needs related to
the new brewing experience at Old World Wisconsin, Old World Foundation raised over
$46,000. In the spring of 2021, the Chair of the OWF Board of Trustees issued a challenge to
raise $30,000 by the beginning of August for this initiative, and due to the generosity of the
community, this goal was surpassed. Donors were invited to an exclusive evening celebration
at Old World Wisconsin to thank them for their support. This event, called our Sunset Soiree,
was an evening celebrating brewing traditions at Old World Wisconsin.

LEARN & GROW
Fiber is what gives strength and structure to plants. Most grains, beans, vegetables, and fruits contain fiber. Foods rich in fiber are often low in calories and fat, and they fill you up more. They may also reduce your risks for certain health problems. To find out the amount of fiber in canned, packaged, or frozen
foods, read the Nutrition Facts label. It tells you how much fiber is in one serving.
