Note:

AMHS incurs a surcharge by transaction when families pay these fees, so please pay all applicable fees simultaneously in a single transaction.

Juniors: Return for Photos

Juniors, please swing by school on Wednesday (7/31) or Thursday (8/1) anytime between 8 am and 2 pm to take your photo for IDs and the yearbook. A photographer will be in the gym lobby. The make-up portrait day is on August 26 during school. Thank you!

AMHS Schedule Change Requests

Schedule change requests may be made through  8/23/24. Requests will be considered on a first-come basis. Allow 2-3 days for an email response from your counselor. When a student is approved for a schedule change, any books for dropped classes must be returned to your counselor before you can pick up your new schedule.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced recently that more than 800 additional former high school students across the nation, including five recent graduates from Academic Magnet High School, earned National Merit Scholarships financed by U.S. colleges and universities.

The following five Academic Magnet grads who received college-sponsored National Merit Scholarships this month are:

Nicholas W. Edwards '24 – National Merit Clemson University Scholarship


Scarlet Rutter '24 – National Merit Harvey Mudd College Scholarship


Caroline M. Spann '24 – National Merit Clemson University Scholarship

Spend Spring Break 2025 in Costa Rica! Raptors are invited to consider this amazing opportunity to explore the ecology of Costa Rica during spring break of 2025. Students will conduct research on leatherback sea turtles AND earn 30 hours of community service. Email Ms. Phillips (karla_phillips@charleston.k12.sc.us) with any questions.
