Thank you 6th Ward Voters for participating in the February 22, 2011 Election. While I did receive 6,696 votes (3,000 votes more than any other candidate), due to the low turnout and the large number of candidate on the ballot, I did not receive more than 50% of the vote.
As a result, the 6th Ward has a Run-Off Election scheduled for April 5, 2011. Applications for Absentee Ballots are now available and Early Voting has begun and ends on March 31st.
The main thing right now is to make sure you, your friends, your neighbors and your associates know that on April 5th there will be another election and we want folks to come out and give me the most votes, once again. Thank you. |
