*Summer Credit Recovery is only open to students enrolled in St. Louis Park Public Schools.

In-person Credit Recovery provides an opportunity to make up missed high school credits in a condensed learning environment, and in a flexible and alternative way.
Two (2) options are available for classes:
1. In-person traditional teacher-led instruction
2. In-person online learning (Edmentum Online) with teacher support.
Location:
- St Louis Park Middle School, 2025 Texas Ave S, St Louis Park, MN 55426
- Front entrance doors will open at 8:15 AM for student sign in

Dates:
June 10 - June 28, 2023
- Monday - Friday
- No School on June 19th in observance of Juneeteenth holiday.
Students will participate for 3 weeks to obtain up to 2 credits.
Times:
Full day option available for earning 2 credits
Credit recovery class #1
8:30 am - 11:30 pm
Credit recovery class #2 12:00 - 3:00 pm
○ lunch provided
1⁄2 day option available for earning 1 credit

On Wednesday, April 17th, twenty-one of our orchestra students participated in the Region 6AA Solo and Ensemble Contest at Wayzata High School. In total, we received 36 superior certificates, 5 excellent certificates, 27 ensemble medals, and 9 solo medals.

On Monday, April 15th, we had the MSHSL Solo & Ensemble contest at Edina High School, and we had a very successful day. Each student received a superior or excellent rating on their solos/ensembles (the two highest ratings you can receive).
Our percussion ensemble and Ale Coronado (xylophone solo) received perfect scores.

SLPHS DIGITAL CITIZEN ACADEMY
SLPHS Digital Citizen Academy
The purpose of SLPHS Digital Citizen Academy is to expose students to different aspects of being a digital citizen with self paced lessons that can be facilitated by students, families, and teachers.
Each month through the 6425 and Schoology, lessons will be published at the beginning of the month. You can find all the lessons on the SLPHS Student Digital Learning Support under the SLPHS Academy.
Each lesson will include the standards from the ISTE Standards and well as the MN ELA Standards.
This week’s lesson for the SLPHS Digital Citizen Academy lesson How to Properly Cite an Image in MLA in a Presentation includes the steps to cite an image.

FINAL PEAC MEETING
Thank you to all who attended and presented at our final PEAC meeting.
Here are a few meeting highlights:
- DECA students shared how Storiole serves the students and teaches real world principles of business.
- We also heard about student testing score results in standardized testing to showcase learning and academic rigor. SLPHS had results 10 pts above the state. Go Park!
- PEAC is an official 501c3! We look forward to leveraging this status as we plan for next year over the summer. A special thank you to Shana Melendez for all of her help!
