NEW AND COMING UP THIS WEEK

DINNER WITH PASTOR MARK EISOLD

Come and celebrate with us these 14+ years of a wonderful Mission Partnership between Pastor Mark Eisold and Redeemer. He is filled with energy and passion to reach people outside of the church, who are not in a relationship with Jesus yet. Many of our youth and members have been inspired to visit the Pelican Lutheran church in Naples, FL over the years. Catch a vision of his expanding ministry among immigrants and growing the church by baptism, teaching, and mentoring these new believers. He will be sharing on Monday April 15 at a dinner at 6:00 pm at Redeemer. Please bring a side dish and RSVP.

50s & 60s DINNER GET-TOGETHER

50s and 60s are invited to join us at Grand Prairie Pizza and Tavern (the old Old Chicago) on April 17th from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. Appetizers will be provided. Order food/drinks on your own if you wish. If you’d enjoy an evening to connect, have fun, share, and support, 50s 60s welcomes you. Those younger and older are welcome also. Watch your email for an RSVP.

SIXTY PLUS GROUP

Come and join us on Thursday, April 11th, at 11:30 in Miller Hall! Larry Locher will be introducing us to Luke Harvey, local beekeeper and active member in the HOI Beekeepers Association.

The Heart of Illinois Beekeepers Association (HIBA) is dedicated to the development of good beekeeping management and practices, the pollination of agricultural crops, the production of honey and honey related food products, and the general education for and about honeybees. HIBA serves Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford counties, as well as the surrounding areas.

Beekeeping can be an exciting hobby or full blown career. Amateurs and professionals alike meet to discuss the latest in beekeeping, diseases and pests, hive management, honey production, public interest in bees, and Mother Nature.

Our own Steve Holcomb is making Italian beef for lunch. The main dish and drinks will be provided for $5.00 per person. If your last name begins with A-K, please bring a dessert, and a side dish if L-Z. Sign up sheet will be posted on the bulletin board in the office hallway. Any questions, please contact Becky Auer at (309)370-5169 or Ken Stoppenhagen at (309)265-1992. Hope to see you and bring a friend!

2024 CAN-A-THON UPDATE

This year’s Can-A-Thon was a huge success. Laura Burdick and Laura Grichnik would like to extend appreciation to everyone who brought in bags of groceries. Our church family collected a total of 1550 items! Thank you for your generosity-these items will help feed the many guests who come through our doors each week.

Redeemer also collected food two Saturdays at the North Knoxville Kroger as part of the Can-A -Thon. A special thank you to the following members who helped during these collection days: Addie and Nathan Reed, Jack Stone, Donna Campbell, Stephen and Mike Grichnik, Carson Paustian, Shelley Spencer, Jennie Haluska, as well as Nathan, Abby, and Cheryl Van Farowe. A total of 898 items of food and $772.65 in cash donations were collected.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

FAMILY CAMP 2024

Looking for kids between the ages of 11-15 who would be willing to act out the stories of the Bible. Recruit a friend and have fun together!

Sunday nights this summer, we will dress up and recreate four different Bible stories. Scripts, costumes, props and an audience provided. I need you! Ideally, I would recruit 5 - 8 young people and have one adult helper four consecutive Sundays - June, 30, July 7, July 14 and July 21.

Let's bring these characters from the Bible to life and share the love of Jesus!

Contact Mrs. Lisa Mack at (309) 360-2669.

JR HIGH BOWLING

Jr High will have a Glow Bowling Night at the Christian Center on Friday, April 12th from 7-9 pm. The cost is $5 and includes bowling, shoe rental, and snacks. Friends are welcome to join us! Please RSVP by filling out this short form.

MOTHER/DAUGHER/FRIEND EVENT

Women of Redeemer is hosting a Mother/Daughter/Friend event on Tuesday, April 16 from 6:30-8:00. The event will be hosted by our very own Jennifer Anders. Rather than a traditional speech, she plans on coordinating a dynamic celebration on Love Languages. The program will be fun for everyone entertaining the young while educating and engaging the young at heart. For those children that are not at least in first grade, free childcare will be available, however, you must send an email with names and ages to RSVP4WOR@gmail.com by 4/12/2024 so that childcare workers can be hired.   If you plan to join us, please RSVP by 4/14/2024 by signing the sheet at the welcome desk, sending an email to RSVP4WOR@gmail.com, or calling/texting Lynn Bivens at 309-697-2626.
