Parish Announcements, Events, and Classes

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Psalm 24:1

We’re having a surprise “Tea Party”.

Our beloved, Brenda Jones, is moving and we want to celebrate her in a big way! On Sunday, July 7, after the 10am worship service, we are having an old fashion tea party, (no coffee that morning only hot and iced tea). This will be our last time to “pour” well wishes on Brenda as she is set to leave July 10th or 11th . Also, we want to shower her with cards. There will be a basket in the narthex starting June 23 or you could drop off at the office or send it to St. Luke’s, 2000 Shepherds Lane, Prescott, AZ 86301 Attn: Brenda Jones. Bonnie Burwell Pratscher (you tasted her amazing cakes on June 2nd) will be providing a variety of her soon to be cake, etc. business that I lovingly call “Love at First Bite”. We would love if you could provide a fruit or vegetable platter, maybe small sandwiches. This is not a potluck. Please make this a priority. Brenda, we will miss your beautiful smile and amazing hugs

We're here to help. Contact Fr. Marc at frmemc@gmail.com to ask your financial question, whether it be about your pledge, giving, or commission budget. He'll be happy to find the answers you need.

Staff Announcements

  • Please welcome Lynda Rowntree as our new Parish Administrator. As a parishioner, she brings with her some great knowledge and understanding of the tasks she will perform, and as a retired teacher and administrative professional, she is more than qualified to care for the Rector and office staff.
Tips for a Great Summer

A free lunch will be served following the 10:00am service on Sunday, June 23, to celebrate the meeting of the Episcopal General Convention. come enjoy a great meal courtesy of Gary and Lyneal Nick, who will give a short talk on Convention happenings. See you there!

Lights, Camera Action!

This Summer, we are updating our parish directory with photographs. No photos will be taken this weekend, but the adventure has already begun, and will continue again on June 22 and 23, so be sure to sign up for an appointment at the table in the Gathering Hall. We are also aware that not everyone may wish their photograph to be taken, and that is just fine. You have the right to tell us exactly what information you will want published in the parish directory. so stop by next weekend and talk with our team.

Get involved at St. Luke's!

There are many ways to get involved in ministry here at the church. Below are just come examples:

  • Commission Chairs needed for various ministries.
  • Commission members and volunteers (visit our website and see what's going on!)

  • and many more...

A.C.E. Civil Conversations in Uncivil Times

A.C.E. is on hiatus for the remainder of the summer, but stay tuned for information coming soon on Fall studies.

Have a great summer!

"We are always confident; even though we know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord-- for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we do have confidence, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. "

This has been an on-going program (separate from the St. Luke's Food Pantry) where parishioners can donate non-perishable food items that will in turn be shared with the Prescott Community Cupboard, the Prescott Valley Food Bank, and the Chino Valley Food Bank.

Your donations of non-perishable food items may be left in the wooden box in the Parish Hall.

Thank you for your continued support of all our food donation programs!
