5th and 6th Grade Return to Full-Time
April 27th:
As we look to the return of your students to full-time in person instruction on Wednesday the 28th we wanted to reach out and share some important details. First, on Tuesday, April 27th, all 5th and 6th grade students will have an asynchronous learning day (Learning from home day). Your child’s teacher will send home communication about the learning expectations for students for Tuesday. The teacher will provide resources and initial guidance, but the teacher will spend the day ensuring that they are prepared for all students return to in-person learning. Thank you for your support and flexibility as we work to adjust classroom seating, scheduling, recess, breakfast, and lunch procedures.

April 28th:
All 5th and 6th grade students return to full-time in person.

Breakfast:
5th and 6th grade students will not eat breakfast in their classrooms. Students who arrive from 8:15-8:40 will go directly to the multipurpose room to eat breakfast. Students will be seated 6 feet apart from their peers.

Lunch:
All 5th and 6th grade students will be served lunch in their classroom. Because our 5th grade classes are closer to 21 students in a classroom, students will be taught how to slightly adjust their seating to ensure that they are 6 feet apart while eating.

After being served lunch in the classroom, Half of 5th/6th grade combo students and half of 6th grade students will be rotated to the multipurpose room and the other half will eat in their classroom. Your child’s setting for lunch will be rotated every week. This allows for the 6 foot distancing needed for eating lunch.

Student Health Check
Please Complete Student Health Checks Daily

If you have multiple children at the school then you just enter their student ID numbers, separated by a comma.

If you have completed your child’s health check before school:
For parents who complete the daily health check, their child will move right into line to ease transition into the building.

If you have NOT completed your child’s health check before school:
Mullan Road staff will stop and ask your child these four questions:

Health Check Questions
  1. Attending School In-Person Today?
  2. Do you have any of the symptoms listed above within the last day that are not caused by another condition?
  3. Has your student been in close contact with anyone with confirmed COVID-19 (for example, within 6ft for greater than 15 minutes) within the past 14 days?
  4. Has your student had a positive COVID-19 test for active virus in the past 10 days, or are you awaiting results of a COVID-19 test?
  5. Within the past 14 days, has a public health or medical professional told your student to self-monitor, self-isolate, or self-quarantine because of concerns about COVID-19 infection?

We would rather you be a few minutes late and have your health check complete than show up on time without a health check done.
