Holy Spirit, I give You my heart and thank You for unending grace. I ask that You grant me the gift of piety, so that I may serve You with never-ending enthusiasm. Grant me the gift of strength, so that I may courageously overcome the trials of my life. Grant me the gift of counsel, so that I can grow in spirit. Grant me the gift of understanding and wisdom, so that I may rightly direct all my actions to serve You better. Amen

Principal's Letter

“Whenever you begin any good work, you should first of all make a most pressing appeal to Christ our Lord to bring it to perfection.” St. Benedict

Dear Families,

On Tuesday, we bid farewell to our 8th grade students. Fr. Tom celebrated Mass with the students and families, and he reminded the students that while they depart from Holy Family that we are all together as the Body of Christ when we come together for the Mass. He also challenged our students to trust in the Lord. As our 8th grade students depart for high school, let us pray for them that they continue to trust in the Lord and grow in virtue.

This has been a busy week, but it has been filled with many graces. The 1st grade vocabulary parade showcased the new terms that the students have learned this year. The field day was a day filled with games, running, jumping, and laughter. The kindergarten writer’s showcase allowed parents to see how much our youngest authors have learned this year. Our last school Mass was the highlight of today with our community praying for one another.

Tomorrow, we will have our last day of school. As we conclude our school year, I hope that we will continue to pray for one another as we prepare for the transition to summer break. Tomorrow, families will receive information about the summer reading program.

God Bless,

Erin Vu

Angel Virtue Awards

In May, grades 2-4 focused on the virtues of loyalty and temperance. Grades 5-8 focused on loyalty, temperance, faith and hope. Each teacher in these grades chose students who modeled these virtues in an especially positive way. The following students were announced at Mass this morning. They were presented with a pin to wear on Mass days. Congratulations to our Angels!

Immunization Requirements for the 2024-2025 School Year

The Texas Department of Health Services sets immunization requirements for all students in both public and private schools. While you may have already fulfilled all the requirements of your child's immunization record, we ask that you take a look at the following link to make sure we have the most recent copy before school starts on August 12th. If you are not sure, feel free to send us another copy. According to the family handbook, "Please note that although conscientious objections and waivers may be accepted in some schools, they are not acceptable for use within schools of the Diocese of Austin."

Advancement Update

Thank you, Holy Family, for the gifts of your time, talent and treasure this year. While we will be sharing our year end financials and impact of your gifts to the school in our 2023-2024 Annual Report in September, I wanted to give you a quick snapshot of our successes.

Angel Fund annual appeal – To date we are at 102% of our $330,000 annual goal with 26% of our families having given to the appeal. In order to get to the NEXT level for our school, we will need EVERY families help in some way.  Siempre Adelante. Together, we will always move forward!

Run With The Angels – To date we have raised over $90,000 including our corporate matching gifts that are pending. Way to go ANGELS!!!

Gala – Our fund a need total raised for transportation was over $90,000. Our first six passenger golf cart arrived today! Mr. Cullen and Mrs. Vu will be working on the van purchase over the summer.

I look forward to sharing all of the phenomenal things that we are doing and will do because of our commitment to a culture of philanthropy.

A RaiseRight tutorial packet was home with the oldest child earlier in the week. We encourage all families to read through it, register and consider using RaiseRight to support Holy Family over the summer.
