Next week, Tues-Fri, April 22-27:
The Catholic Archbishop of Owerri in Nigeri, the Most Rev. Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji, will be our guest at St Antoninus Church from Monday, April 22 - April 26 (Wed-Fri). However, he is not able to do any planned public ministries in our parish as he will be traveling to Washington DC and other places and will be at a priests' gathering in Blessed Sacrament parish. There is a slight possibility that he may be available to parishioners at St Antoninus on Tuesday night, April 23. For more information, in case this is even possible, please text Fr Steven Aribe at 862-237-1381.
The Most Rev. Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji is the president of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN). Recently, he gave a powerful Easter Message that is for all of us. Here is part of it:
“...the joyful and heart-warming Easter message resounds: God has raised Jesus to life. He would not allow injustice, oppression, and death to triumph forever. He would not allow his people to die and perish in their helplessness. He desires that Christ and indeed all should have life and have it to the full.”
“Amidst our feeling of despair and disillusionment, Easter has a message of hope, namely: that at the end of every dark tunnel there is some light; that the darkest part of the night is the beginning of dawn."
Let us keep this holy man of God, a chief shepherd in the Catholic Church, in our prayers, that he may continue leading the flock to greater holiness and freedom. Amen.

The Year of Parish Revival began on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, June 11, 2023 . As we have entered this new season of grace, Bishop Cozzens has composed a beautiful prayer for the Revival and the Church. We pray in particular for our beloved St Antoninus Church....
Prayer for the Eucharistic Revival of the Church
Lord Jesus Christ, you give us your flesh and blood for the life of the world, and you desire that all people come to the Supper of the Sacrifice of the Lamb.
Renew in your Church the truth, beauty, and goodness contained in the Most Blessed Eucharist.
Jesus living in the Eucharist, come and live in me.
Jesus healing in the Eucharist, come and heal me.
Jesus sacrificing yourself in the Eucharist, come and suffer in me.
Jesus rising in the Eucharist, come and rise to new life in me.
Jesus loving in the Eucharist, come and love in me.
Lord Jesus Christ, through the paschal mystery of your death and resurrection made present in every Holy Mass, pour out your healing love on your Church and on our world.
Grant that as we lift you up during this time of Eucharistic Revival, your Holy Spirit may draw all people to join us at this Banquet of Life. You live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever.
Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of the Eucharist, Pray for us.
