The Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation invites Chicagoans to a citywide annual Clean and Green Day of Service to clean and beautify neighborhoods on Saturday, April 20, 2024. During Clean and Green, residents and local organizations help revitalize areas in their community by doing tasks such as collecting litter, removing weeds and clearing vacant lots.

The City will provide the brooms, rakes, shovels and bags needed to complete each cleaning project.

Residents and groups interested in volunteering for Clean and Green are asked to contact our ward office at (773) 631-2241 or ward41@cityofchicago.org no later than Monday April 15, 202. 4Supplies will be available for pickup on Friday April 19, 2024.

Neighborhoods throughout Chicago have been negatively affected by online, temporary home and room rentals. These online rentals are on the rise and may pose a threat to our community by facilitating pop-up parties and illegal activity. These "hotel-houses" may also have a negative impact on property values. The quality of life in our neighborhoods is paramount and we need your help banning these "hotel-houses" on your block and throughout the 41st Ward.
