 PAWNEE PIONEER GRAVEL WEEKEND

September 2 - 4, 2022

It is time to get off the pavement, hit the dirt and have some fun!  Venture to the Pawnee National Grasslands and the Colorado Eastern Plains to ride some gravel!  


There are route options for everyone: the newbie gravel rider to those looking for a serious challenge; those that just want to ride to those that want to compete for their best time; and to those that want to do just a day or those that want to make a weekend out of it.

The Hub

Spring Canyon Bar Ranch will serve as the Hub for the weekend. Self Camping is free with registration. Glamping options available.  Breakfast, lunch & dinner will be available. Finish your gravel ride and hang out on the ranch!

Hotel lodging available in Sterling and Fort Morgan.

Venus de Miles 8/27/22


Venus de Miles is Colorado’s original and largest all-women’s bike ride. 3 routes offered: 30, 60 & 100 miles. Something for all abilities. After you ridejoin the fun at the Finish Festival at Bohn Park in Lyons with facials, massages, New Belgium Beer, and some awesome food!


Venus de Miles supports the Greenhouse Scholars. A non profit that provides personal and financial support to high-performing, under-resourced college students who are the next generation of community leaders.

A global celebration of Operation Smile to commemorate the last 40 years of service and to look forward to the next decade of leadership. Pick your ride. Both days have beautiful rides through Colorado.


Roaring Fork 40 begins at Basalt High School. Out and back loop to Herron Park in Aspen on the Rio Grande Trail.


Boulder 40 begins at Boulder County Fairgrounds. Loop out to Mountain Fountain (a popular cycling break spot in Hygiene) through rural Boulder County

Spend a day (or a 1 1/2 days!) riding the many trails at Buffalo Creek Recreation Area, a well known favorite for mountain bikers on the Front Range.  Led by qualified and talented coaches, the youth cyclists will experience the fun of learning mountain biking as they hit the trails The riding and coaching will focus on the core skills essential to enjoying a lifetime of progressive riding.
