Organ Donation Drive
April is National Donate Life Month, so LTHS is partnering with the Secretary of State’s Office and LT student Mark DeMonte to host a registration event to encourage students to register their decision as a life-giving organ, eye and tissue donor. Mark is a tissue recipient and wanted to figure out a way to give back to the Illinois Donor and Tissue Registry. Mark has already reached so many people teaching about the importance of donation and was featured in our Student Spotlight series. To view that video, click here. To hear more about his tissue donation experience, click here. Learn more about donation and please encourage your student to stop by (with their license) to register during their lunch period April 23-26.
Panorama Student Perception Survey
Students at Lyons Township High School District 204 will complete a 15-20 minute Panorama Student Perception Survey on April 24, 2024. All participants will answer questions regarding overall school safety, climate, teacher-student relationships, sense of belonging, engagement, rigorous expectations, and diversity and inclusion during their 4th or 5th period class.
The results of this survey will help school and district leaders identify areas of strength and opportunities for growth within our school climate and culture. Students will access the survey using their school ID number. Responses will be viewed at the aggregate level to help school leaders ensure the school climate and culture are contributing to a welcoming and supportive educational experience for all students.
The survey is voluntary and parents had an opportunity to opt their students out of the survey during online registration. Students who were opted out of the survey will not be able to log in to take the survey and any student who chooses not to take the survey will be asked to work quietly while others complete the survey. Please direct any questions about the survey to Kristine Zieman, Coordinator of Assessment, at kzieman@lths.net.

Important Prom Information for Senior Students:
Seniors: Please remember that tickets for Post-Prom must be purchased at the same time as your Prom tickets. While we may be able to open additional seats on The Odyssey, if you do not purchase a cruise ticket before midnight on April 22, you will not be able to attend Post-Prom on either boat.
Note that the experience on Spirit of Chicago is identical to that of The Odyssey: the same menu, multiple DJs, the same cruise route, and the same duration.
Don't wait. Buy your ticket for Spirit of Chicago now so that you don't miss out on Post-Prom.
Prom Dresses Available
Thanks to the generosity of individuals within our LT community, we have acquired a selection of pre-loved prom dresses to offer to our students. Students are invited to stop by the North Campus Health Office during their lunch and/or study hall periods to browse through the selection and claim any gown for their upcoming prom.

Amended 2024-2025 School Calendar Approved
The Board approved an amendment to the 2024-25 school year calendar that includes the following items:
- Election Day is a state holiday. In a previous election year, districts were allowed to use an e-learning day for election day; however, this is not allowed for Election Day in 2024. As a result, the calendar was modified to include November 5, 2024 as a school holiday. In order to make up for the loss of an instructional day, February 14, 2025 will include a regular attendance day rather than a holiday.
- The calendar also includes a modification that assigns Monday, January 6 as a Teacher Work Day, Friday, March 21 as an Institute Day, and Friday, May 30 as a student final exam day.
- Following these changes, the 2024-2025 school term calendar includes the following significant dates:
- First Day of Student Attendance (Monday, August 19, 2024)
- Last Day of Semester 1 (Friday, December 20, 2024)
- First Day of Semester 2 (Tuesday, January 7, 2025)
- Spring Break (March 31, 2025 thru April 4, 2025)
- Class of 2025 Commencement Ceremony (Wednesday, May 28, 2025)
- Last Day of Semester 2 - Grades 9-11 (Friday, May 30, 2025)
Please find the approved version here.
Thank you and have a great week!
