Join us for an impactful and rewarding experience at the International Coastal Cleanup Event hosted by Keep Wakulla County Beautiful (KWCB)! As stewards of our planet, we invite individuals and groups from across the globe to come together for a common cause – protecting our oceans and shorelines.
Date: September 21, 2024 Time: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
Location: Woolley Park, 48 Mound Street, Panacea, FL
Event Highlights:
- Beach Cleanup: Dive into action as we roll up our sleeves and clean up our coastal areas. Whether it's picking up litter, sorting recyclables, or conducting shoreline surveys, every effort counts towards preserving our marine ecosystems.
- Community Engagement: Connect with like-minded individuals and organizations passionate about environmental stewardship. Share experiences, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations to further our collective efforts in protecting our oceans.
- Volunteer Recognition: Celebrate the dedication and hard work of our volunteers with an event t-shirt. Please keep in mind that we need registrations by 9/1/24 in order to guarantee a shirt and have it waiting at you chosen site.
- Networking Opportunities: Connect with local organizations working towards marine conservation. Discover how you can get involved beyond this event and become a part of ongoing initiatives aimed at safeguarding our oceans for future generations.
- Lunch: After the cleanup, join us in Woolley Park for lunch, entertainment, booths (including Gulf Specimen Marine lab with their touch tanks!), and prize drawings generously donated by local businesses! We will also be doing a group photo at this time. Lunch will begin serving about 11:00 am.
Together, let's make a positive impact on our oceans and inspire others to join us in this crucial mission.
