Ernesto Alberto Cuello (RECENT TRIP TO ARGENTINA)
Fueron cerca de treinta días colmados de alegrías, satisfacciones, encuentros y reencuentros, pequeños viajes y grandes historias. Todo giraba en torno a la celebración de mi cumpleaños en Argentina, coincidiendo casualmente con el aniversario de la agrupación gaucha "La Tacuara" de mi barrio, mi ciudad y mi gente. Por supuesto, me reservaron un lugar en el escenario para cantar y en la pista para bailar junto a mis hermanos, amigos y familiares.
Otro lugar que me recibió con calidez fue "Buenas Raíces" en la ciudad de San Lorenzo, donde presentamos mi trabajo discográfico "Entrerriano". Fue un verdadero orgullo firmar el libro de actas, un reconocimiento para este humilde cantor. Pero la aventura no terminó ahí, los músicos de la ciudad de Crespo, Entre Ríos, organizaron una reunión gastronómica-cultural inolvidable. Allí fui con mis inquietos huesos viajeros y mi entusiasta espíritu guitarrero, en colectivo como en los viejos tiempos, para vivir una jornada memorable.
Y cómo olvidar la majestuosidad de Rosario, donde me sumé como animador en un bar cuyo nombre escapa a mi memoria pero cuya atmósfera y música jamás olvidaré. Entre las canciones de Fito Páez, Spinetta y Charly García, tuve el honor de entonar mis propias chamarritas y chamamés. La noche se volvió mágica cuando todos unimos nuestras voces en "Oración del Remanso".
Entre comidas y bebidas familiares, celebramos mi cumpleaños en el Bar del Ruso, en el barrio San Fernando de Granadero Baigorria. Contamos con la grata presencia de un cantor único, el famoso Cachi Chávez, nacido en Serodino y arraigado en estas tierras de grandes artistas y futbolistas legendarios que nunca llegaron a primera por ser demasiado buenos para la mediocridad. Compartir con estas leyendas fue un honor, un recordatorio constante de esfuerzos, sacrificios y esperanzas que nunca se desvanecen.
Nos despedimos con abrazos, sonrisas y alguna que otra lágrima para condimentar el momento. Nos prometimos amarnos hasta el fin y, sobre todo, nunca olvidarnos, aunque el tiempo pase y las distancias se alarguen. El amor es eterno y el cariño y la amistad no conocen fronteras. Además, estoy emocionado de compartir que estaré participando en el 40 aniversario del Comité Argentino, organizador del 37º Festival Argentino en los Estados Unidos. Ser parte de la grilla 2024 de este espectacular e histórico evento de la Comunidad Argentina en los EE. UU. es un honor y una oportunidad emocionante que espero con ansias.

Rental spaces are 7-9' and pre-marked by staff. Vendors may start set-up at 2 p.m. All vendor stations must be set up by no later than 3:20 p.m. Vendors will not be allowed entry after 3:30 p.m. Vendors are limited to two people per rental space and are required to stay for the entire event until at least 8:30 p.m. Vendors must provide their own tables, chairs (and tents if desired). Electricity may available. All items being sold must be washed/cleaned. To offer a diverse selection of products, we will be placing a limit on the number of vendors allowed per company.

The Legend of the Argentine Festival will be published around May 25th in newspapers, blogs, and websites in both the United States and Argentina. Additionally, on Argentine Night at the Embassy on May 31st, Daniel Manzoni will present brief anecdotes commemorating the 40 years of the Argentine Committee. It will be a special occasion to celebrate with the entire Argentine Delegation and friends in the United States.
The Argentine Festival as a non-governmental and non-profit organization from the USA to Argentina special cultural program joins the celebration of the 40th Argentine Committee of diplomatic relations between Argentina and the United States.

About the Event
American, Argentine, and Hispanic families are drawn to this event to celebrate Argentine Heritage culture through dance, music, traditional arts, and foodways. Politicians from Arlington County, from the State of Virginia, and throughout the USA have regularly attended the event.
Event Format
Festival Argentino strengthens partnerships between partners from across the diverse communities in the DC Metropolitan area. For the annual Festy; we are expecting good attendance based on feebacks.
The Argentine Festival in the USA gathers great importance due to:
•Promotes and broadcasts the Argentine Heritage Culture in the USA
•The public comments its great desire to buy our products, as well as get to know our nation.
•Fortifies the sense of belonging of the Argentine Community that resides in the USA, and that is far away from its country of origin.

The Mission of the Festival Argentino seeks to strengthen bilateral relations in cultural exchange (artists & education). For example, the Fest cultural exchange with artists & education should be in the Bilateral Agenda in 2023-2024. As you may recall the Argentine Committee is approaching its 36 years of service. We are set to celebrate all that has been accomplished. The festival takes place from 1987 in Arlington in a continuous format and gathers distinguished performers of Argentine music and dancers. In addition, it broadcasts our cultural products: the arts, gastronomy, crafts, and tourist destinations. Since its beginning, it has taken place in a variety of settings, from the Library on Columbia Pike, to the open-air performances at Barcroft Park, and cultural spaces like the Thomas Jefferson Theatre, Kenmore Auditorium all in Arlington, Virginia.Historical Awards in the Embassy of Argentina, DC!
