UNION RESPONSE TO RACIAL EQUALITY
"The North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters is in the beginning stages of working with community stakeholders, developers and contractors. We will not stand by idle. Rather, we are actively working to bring underrepresented communities into our apprenticeship program to help rebuild communities in need. This is an opportunity to demonstrate our own inclusivity and the amazing opportunity we provide every apprentice who signs up to join the Carpenter's Union".
- EST John Raines, NCSRCC

Matt Sowell has been a member of Local 322 for over 5 1/2 years. He has been an active member, a Delegate to the Minneapolis Regional Labor Federation and Delegate to the 42nd UBC General Convention.
In only 5 days, Matt Sowell and several other Minneapolis-based musicians collaborated in the creation of a entire album dedicated to benefiting the Association for Black Economic Power. ABEP has partnered with the Pimento Relief Fund to assist black businesses without insurance whose businesses were damaged during the demonstrations as well as an organization for Native youth that also burned to the ground.
The benefit album "Out of the Ashes" contains 16 tracks and can be found
here
. Check out #16 by Matt!
