The whole world is divided into two parts: one is she, and there is all happiness, hope, and light: the other is where she is not, and there is dejection and darkness….only when she places herself in the darkness will there be happiness, hope, and light.

Let Love in

Throughout our entire human history conflict has pushed the limits to where only peace can resolve the issue. One without the other negates nothing, and human history prevails that we as a society are not happy with just nothing. We want more: rights, money, respect, and property in our pursuit of happiness. Any segregated person or group of people will push the limits to war and protest to stake their claim.

There is a one-world focus towards peace against one man's desire for more. His resorting to war over something he feels entitled to has caused heartbreak for individuals, families, and countries thereby destroying their homes and livelihoods.
The planetary war of Venus & Mars that began on February 9 has much to do with our current affairs. Venus represents love and peace, and Mars represents war. They continue this dance of war and peace between exact conjunctions and planetary war until March 15.

Adding to these tensions is all the classical planetary energies are located in two side-by-side zodiac signs of Capricorn and Aquarius. Saturn rules both. With the exception of Uranus, every plant is under the rules and regulations set forth by Saturn. Saturn represents structure, laws, government, agriculture (inclusive of land), and the timekeeper of karma. This is an extremely tense time of no-nonsense; get your shit together, solidify what you stand for, and get out and let love in, not avoid what you need to do. Spring officially occurs at the Spring Equinox on March 20, and if you have been at war with yourself, it's time to make peace.

The Moon Mansion of Shatabhishak is the placement of this New Moon, and its meaning is "The Hundred Stars," translated into the 100 healers of the celestial ocean. They rest as the backdrop keeping a watchful eye on the cosmos, offering to heal when warranted. Ruled by Rahu, and Saturn. Here again, Saturn's influence is unmistakably felt these days with time delays occurring until what "it is," is truly understood.

An 'empty circle' is the symbol of this star which represents that this Moon Mansion pertains to everything that is in the circle is part of the celestial sea of consciousness, and there is nowhere to escape the influence or actions of others and what affects one, affects all.

This New Moon has much to offer in terms of change on the horizon, depending on your perception. (R)evolution is never stable and smooth and as we approach the Pluto, Venus, and Mars conjunction on March 3, it may get even more intense, but it will lead to the integration of peace.

Key Themes this New Moon:

  • High Tension
  • War & Peace
  • Make peace with yourself
  • Breaking cycles of disruptive patterns
  • Take a stand for what you believe in
  • Love one another
  • Worship Lord Shiva

This Monday, February 28, 2022, Mahashivaratri will celebrate Lord Shiva. On this day, the Hindu legendary tale of "The Churning of the Oceans" took place. Legend says that Lord Shiva saved the world from destruction by drinking the demons' poison churned from the oceans.

As we embrace this New Moon, we can all do our part as healers by holding the world's poisons and transforming them into peace with Love for one another.

Beej Mantra-Om Lam 108 times
Mantra-oṁ laṁ śātabhiṣa nakṣatrayai namaḥ oṁ ghaṁ
Once, Vishnu watched Shiva's Tandava or the Cosmic Dance. So rapt did he become in the joyous dance of Nataraja, that he completely harmonized with the Lord of Dance. This created a heavy, pounding sort of vibration, which put an immense strain on Shesha. When the dance of Shiva ceased, Vishnu came back to normal and the weight upon Shesha instantly lifted.

Shesha then queried his Lord about the sudden weight and how it had suddenly left him. Vishnu smiled and replied that he had enjoyed Shiva's dance so much that he had harmonized with his great, unending cosmic and Yogic energy.

Monday, February 28th marks Maha Shivaratri (‘The Great Night of Shiva’).
This is a major festival day dedicated to the Supreme yogi deity Lord Shiva who is worshiped through all-night meditation, chanting vigils, and puja (ritual worship). On this night The Divine favors the ardent spiritual seeker, where it is believed that Shiva’s profound blessings of inner transformation, yogic mastery, and awareness of absolute Reality come to those who manage to stay awake all night on Maha Shivaratri in an unshakable dedication to spiritual practice.
