A blessing for our volunteer leaders:

God, from your glorious, unlimited resources, empower them with inner strength through your Spirit. May Christ make his home in their hearts as they trust in you. May their roots grow down into your love and keep them strong. And may they have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep your love is. May they experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Amen.

THE 3 WAYS TO SAY THANKS

While there may be someone on staff sending the communications and making plans, it is our volunteers who are the true heartbeat of DCPC Youth and keep it going every week! The core of that group is our small group leaders who commit to showing up weekly, arrive early, stay late, show up at games and performances, make calls, send texts, and cheer on our students throughout middle and high school and beyond! It's not uncommon for a SGL to join a middle school group and be there for Confirmation and then watch them graduate from high school a few years later. And they don't do it alone! We have kitchen volunteers and Welcome Center volunteers and our Youth Ministry Committee! We'll have special thank yous to all of them, but want you to consider helping us out in the following ways:

  1. Youth: join us for the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner this Sunday! Youth should arrive at 5:30 pm to help set up and decorate and get instructions (we end at 7 pm)
  2. Parents: we could use help in the kitchen this Sunday (and the 19th). Sign up here!
  3. If you can't be with us this Sunday, send a card to your small group leaders! I would be happy to help you find addresses or you can look in Realm
