A representative of Men of Valor, a program dedicated to saving lives and reducing recidivism among released prisoners, will present the monthly report.

Helen Grant will continue the Bible study portion of the meeting with a look at the convert Lydia who was a major player in the success of Paul's establishing a church in Philippi.

All church members and visitors are welcome.

Support Group

Drawing on her years of experience as a nurse and caregiver, Margaret Walther is starting a support group here at Second Presbyterian to address issues associated with grief and loss.

The group is meant to offer encouragement and provide information and resources on many topics, including hospice care.

Please join us for an interest meeting on April 20^th at 10:30 a.m. in the church library.

We have an incredible group of seniors this year, and over the next month, we will be taking time to highlight each of them and how UKirk has made a difference in their lives.

We are asking you to consider donating $20.23 in their honor to help us reach our goal of $2,023!

MEN OF VALOR ANNUAL BREAKFAST

The Second Pres Go Team will be hosting a table for 10 at the Tuesday, April 25, Men of Valor Annual Breakfast. This breakfast is the main fundraiser for MOV. Breakfast will be at The Press Room on Broadway beginning at 7:00 and ending promptly at 8:30. Randy Boyd will be the guest speaker. There will be other speakers from the MOV program and testimonials.

Men of Valor, established at Valor Ridge in Nashville for 25 years, has recently opened its Valor Way facility in Knoxville that houses men recently released from incarceration in Tennessee.

Our once-a-month FISH team receives phone call requests for food and these additional items; they are sorted, packed, and delivered to each client's household.

All donations should be newly purchased; any quantities would be greatly appreciated.
