Pragmatic Presbyterians is a group of members and friends following Jesus and serving him among Knoxville residents who are experiencing the impacts of poverty.

Did you know? To help homeless individuals and address housing instability, the city of Knoxville and Knox County are teaming up to form a new office that will offer solutions to one of the region's biggest challenges. Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon and Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs announced the creation of the Knoxville-Knox County Office of Housing Stability on April 24th. The new office aims to make homelessness "rare, brief, and non-recurring". Recognizing that no single agency has all the needed resources to accomplish that aim, partnerships are planned with local government, nonprofits, people with lived experience of homelessness, businesses, faith communities, and philanthropies.

Pragmatic Presbyterians will meet at 7 PM on Wednesdays May 24th in the Barbour Room. Zoom is available for interested people who cannot attend in person. Please contact Kathy Duggan (kduggan55@gmail.com) or Janis Smith (smithjb1@gmail.com) for more information or if you would like to attend via Zoom.

Women's Conference at Montreat is August 11-13. It is sure to be a wonderful time of fellowship, learning, and worship. If you are interested in learning more about the conference and those leading worship, bible study, etc., follow this link: https://montreat.org/events/wc-2023. If you are interested in attending, please let Pastor Sarah know by May 31st.
