250th Summer Learning Parade & Kickoff


It's almost time! We're having a parade June 1! Get your thinking caps on and get those costumes ready, it's time to dress as your favorite literary character and march to celebrate HPL's 250th anniversary. 


After the parade, enjoy family friendly activities, live music, performances, special surprises and more!


Parade participants must arrive at 11:30 a.m., and busing from Library branches is available. Visit HERE for the bus schedule.


Free parking is available at the Sheldon Street Parking Lot, 141 Sheldon Street.

Field Trip!


HPL Board Members and Ambassadors recently had the chance to visit 3 of HPL's locations. The tour stopped at the Albany, Barbour, and Camp Field Libraries and branch staff shared insights and stories at each stop, bringing each Library’s story to life.


Bridget E. Quinn, HPL President & CEO, spoke on HPL's outlined exciting future plans, especially focusing on the renovations for the Albany and Barbour Libraries.


“Every branch is unique because of the community it serves. We want each branch to reflect the people that use it most,” said Quinn.
