Dear Fellows,

Funding for the College is provided solely by our Fellows and their professional firms through dues, event sponsorships, and - most significantly - the Patrons & Sponsors Program. Your firm's support for that Program has been and continues to be critical to the continuation and expansion of College activities, including educational programs, annual meeting and induction events, committee activities, the Distinguished Law Student Program, the DEI Committee’s JTB scholars program, the National Bankruptcy Archives, and pro bono grants through the American College of Bankruptcy Foundation. The College keeps on getting better and better and it is only through your generous support.

We are proud and grateful that in 2024 over 166 of the professional firms with which our Fellows are associated participated in the Program as a Sustaining Patron, Patron, Sponsor, or Supporter. (You may view our generous 2024 sponsors here.)

This year, we have a new level of sponsorship: Benefactor ($7,500). This is the first time in twelve years that the College has offered a new sponsorship category. While we understand that all firms are examining their spending and sponsorship priorities closely, we hope that the College's important work will remain a priority for you and your firm in 2025. We know you are keenly aware of the increased costs associated with the College’s programs and activities, which have almost doubled over the past decade. The College has increased its outreach by including distinguished students for every circuit every year and being a trailblazer with respect to the DEI initiatives.

Now more than ever, the College and its Fellows will play a critical leadership role in supporting the reorganization of businesses and individuals grappling with rising interest rates and continuing strain from geo-political volatility.

And the need for pro bono support from the Foundation - funded in large part by the College - has never been greater. (Please note that the Foundation will be reaching out to Fellows in October to solicit their individual charitable contributions made directly to the Foundation.)

Also, for many years, the College has sponsored a semester-long class on international bankruptcy. The class is offered annually during the spring semester at many law schools. The lecturers include some of the leading global international insolvency academics, practitioners and judges, many of whom are College Fellows. For the 2025 semester, the College is pleased to offer all Fellows and their firms the opportunity to audit the course, at no cost for firms who sponsor the College as a Benefactor, Sustaining Patron, and Patron, and gives discounts for other sponsors. The classes are presented live (via Zoom) on 13 consecutive Tuesday nights starting January 15, 2025, from 6:40 pm ET to 8:20 pm ET. Extensive reference materials are also posted for each class. Click here for more information on the International Bankruptcy Course.

Induction into the College not only recognizes the important contributions that each of our Fellows has made to the profession and his or her community but offers a collective opportunity to continue making a meaningful impact. We would be most grateful for your firm's continued - or upgraded - support of the Patrons & Sponsors Program, enabling the College to fulfill our mission to enhance professionalism, scholarship, and service in bankruptcy and insolvency law and practice.
