2024 STATE PRINCIPALS CONFERENCE- CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
The Virginia Association of Secondary School Principals, with support from the Virginia Department of Education and the Virginia Foundation for Educational Leadership, annually host the Virginia Middle and High School Principals Conference & Exposition. The state conference will open with a School Law Clinic for administrators on June 25, 2024 and conclude with a closing general session on June 28, 2024 at The Founders Inn and Spa at 5641 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23464. This statewide in-person event has been held annually since 1927. The purpose of this conference is to develop and enhance middle and high school administrators’ leadership skills, increase their understanding of current educational issues, and expand their knowledge base for success.
CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS:
The Professional Practices Symposium and Roundtable Discussions scheduled for June 27, 2024, will focus on exemplary practices that excel in content delivery for students in today’s schools. This is your opportunity to learn from colleagues who have developed and implemented successful strategies that have made strong impacts on teaching and learning. Be prepared to bring back from these sessions innovative ideas and programs that will challenge and inspire your school community.
Principals, assistant principals, superintendents and division staff are encouraged to participate at the state conference as a presenter by submitting the 2024 Call for Presentations to be considered for inclusion in the summer conference program.
The Call for Presentations form must be returned by April 15, 2024. Notification of accepted presentations will be provided by May 1, 2024.
