Welcome to GFC’s Summer Series of Impact, a newsletter outlining the transformative difference YOU have helped create across the cancer experience for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Over the next six weeks, we will share mission accomplishments and impact updates across Golf Fights Cancer’s 'Five Priorities of Giving', highlighting our beneficiaries and the significant difference we are collectively making in the fight against cancer. You can expect to learn more about our recent work, as well as the historical impact of our mission and community.

Although it seems like only yesterday, twenty years have passed since Golf Fights Cancer took our first steps at the 2004 Boston Marathon.

Since then, our community has grown to 30,000 constituents - helping to create a transformational difference for hundreds of thousands facing cancer!

What hasn't changed over time is our focus on funding transformational, innovative, and harder to fund projects and programs - with priority given to investments that address barriers to care, improving health outcomes, and the impact of social determinants of health.

For many, Golf Fights Cancer provides an opportunity to celebrate a milestone in treatment, leverage a personal experience with cancer, and/or honor a loved one affected by the disease.

Team Dan exemplifies this spirit perfectly! Attacking cancer head on by raising awareness and funding in honor of Dan Warn, and in support of patients and families facing glioblastoma, these ‘friends who are like family’ changed the lives of so many!

Raising over $100,000 as members of Team GFC's 2024 Boston Marathon Team, Captain Dara Warn and runners Jessica Kelly, Dana O'Brien, Nicole O'Connor, and Brenda Salamone inspired an entire community.

In recognition of our 20th Anniversary, check out the 'Then and Now' feature each week for a fun look at how far our community has grown...and aged!

Golf Fights Cancer (GFC) is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization that taps into the passion and generosity of all golfers to raise much needed funds for cancer related organizations and families living with the disease. Specifically, GFC makes targeted donations for equipment, services, and/or amenities that make an immediate positive impact on treatment and the experience for both the patient and family. Since inception, we have distributed over $13 million to 85 different cancer-related charities and initiatives.
