Dear unit leaders and summer camp coordinators,
I just got back from a trip to camp today and spring is starting to show. Our camp ranger has been working on activating the water system and preparing for our spring Order of the Arrow induction weekend. This week our OA Lodge will setup the tents and cots throughout camp.
Website Update:
Our council and camp websites were updated in mid-March. The web URL of wc.tentaroo.com is no longer valid. You can access your unit's Tentaroo account from www.ockanickon.org or www.washingtoncrossingbsa.org. You use your same Tentaroo unit username and password. If you have any issues accessing you account, please reach out to Michelle Cathers at michelle.cathers@scouting.org.
2024 Summer Camp Leaders Guide
The revised summer camp leaders guide is now available from the Forms and Resources page of the camp website under General Information. This page has numerous resources broken into five sections:

2024 Virtual Leaders Meeting
We will be hosting a virtual leader meeting on Saturday, May 4th starting at 9am. It typically lasts approximately 2-1/2 hours. The meeting will cover topics including:
- Check-in procedures
- Information due to camp prior to arrival
- Adult registration/YPT/Background check requirements
- Merit Badge sign-up process
- Food Service overview
- Program overview
Multiple adults from a unit can sign up and attend. Pre-registration is required. Click HERE to register.

Units can order T-shirts with their unit number, council abbreviation and town imprinted on the sleeve. Deadline for placing an order for customized T-shirts is April 15th. Visit HERE for more information and online order form.

When making online payments in the Tentaroo system, please remember you can pay via eCheck to avoid any convenience fees.
- The deadline for the tier 2 discounted fee of $545 is May 15th. AOL Crossovers continue to receive the tier 1 discount of $520.

Staff Positions Available:
There are still a limited number of paid staff positions available and there are opportunities for 14-year-old counselors in training (CIT). If you have a Scout or Scouter who might be interested in working at Ockanickon, more information and an online application is available HERE.
