SPRING 2024 SCHOOL NEWS!

After emerging from the cold weather and storing our shovels, we are now enjoying some very nice weather with our ducks on the Falling Spring Creek at PCA.

With the warm weather comes beyond-the-building Providence 360 learning experiences.

Friday, May 3rd - Fort Loudon

Monday, May 6th - Creekside Fishing at PCA - Equipment supplied

Thursday, May 9th - Local Historical - Old Jail, John Brown's House, and Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church

Tuesday, May 14th - Cowans Gap Nature Day Retreat - All-School Grades - not overnight

Wednesday, May 15th - Cowans Gap - likely only Grades 7th through 10th

Thursday, May 16th - Providence Place - Grades K-6

Wednesday, May 22nd - End-of-Year Picnic - Greene Township Park

CAMPAIGN HIGHLIGHTS - HIS WORK THROUGH HIS PEOPLE

We are Celebrating His Providence in our school's first capital campaign. We kicked off this campaign in 2022 and moved to Grant Street on October 24, 2022. We are now moving toward the completion of our first full school year in our new location!

REDUCTION - 2022-24 GOAL: $100,000 - Almost There!! $92,630 Mortgage Debt Eliminated! Over $92,000 in donations from Friends of Providence have been applied to the reduction of our building debt. We are pleased to announce that we now have a $500 monthly mortgage reduction pledge. We are making a challenge for friends to add to this pledge in the months ahead. Our desire is to eliminate building debt within the next three to five years. What a blessing that would be!

RENOVATION - 2022-24 GOAL: $200,000 - Goal Exceeded! $216,000 in Campaign Funds! Material and labor costs for new windows, ceiling tiles, ceiling grid, IT network equipment, flooring, lighting, and more have been covered by campaign funds to date! The main space has been beautifully completed, and future renovations, happily, will be controlled on a less hectic pace! Many thanks to PCA volunteers and students for saving us many thousands in labor thus far!

DAILY PROVIDENCE - GIVING OPPORTUNITY

SCHOOL DAYS - $1,000 each DAY SPONSORSHIP and $500 each HALF-DAY SPONORSHIP

2024-27 GOAL: GROW TO 180 DAYS SPONSORED

As we emerge from our blessed capital campaign, we are seeking day sponsors for each of our 180 school days per academic year. While gifts of all sizes are very welcome, we are offering an opportunity for you to dedicate a day or several days in memory of or in honor of a loved one. You could also dedicate a day to a special occasion - anniversary, birthday, and so forth. If you are already giving at a level of $1,000 or greater, we will allow you to designate a day or more, depending on your level of giving, if you desire. Please contact us if you have questions. Please consider a timely gift that will sponsor a day or half-day for the 2024-25 school calendar. You may mail a gift to 474 Grant Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201 made payable to Providence Christian Academy, indicating on the memo, "Day Sponsor." Please indicate the special person, occasion, and date. You can give online using the link below.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We are excited to announce opportunities for volunteer help in various aspects of school operations. We need volunteers for classroom help, fieldtrip transportation, and other general assistance. You may reply directly to this email to put your name on a general information list when we send out alerts for volunteer needs.
