Theater Etiquette

Please find below some helpful Theater Etiquette reminders that may clarify any confusion on the days of the shows.

  • Please arrive early on the day of the show. The parking lot is shared with other school activities, so it can get pretty full, especially during the Saturday shows. Leave yourself enough time to get your child to the appropriate dressing room an hour before their show as well as enough time to find your seats before the Opening Performance begins.

  • No dancers will be allowed in the theater during any of the performances. Dancers should remain in their assigned dressing room until the end of the show. Dancers will be participating in our Finale at the end of each show.

  • Please print out tickets at home and bring with you. This helps in keeping the line moving in order to get everyone into the theater in a timely manner.

  • The Friday night show will have an intermission between Acts. However, the shorter Saturday shows will not have an intermission. If you do need to leave the theater during the show, please remember to do so between performances so not to disturb anyone sitting behind you.

Chaperones/Security Volunteers

If you would like to receive a $25.00 DNE Dance Credit

please sign up to help us with Chaperoning or Security!

Earn up to $75 in DNE Bucks!!!

(Volunteer for all three shows and receive $25.00 for each)

You could chaperone your child's class or a performance

that your child is not dancing in ... We need all the help we can get!

Chaperone/Security Credits will be issued to all dancer accounts after the

Festival of Dance Performance 2024.

Sign Up Genius will be available soon.

Show Security

There will be two security checkpoints at the Collins Center during performances.

One parent or family member will be allowed to bring

dancer(s) backstage to their waiting/dressing rooms.

The parent and child will have their hand stamped at the security checkpoint.

Once you've settled your dancer with their chaperone, you can then leave

the secured area and enter the theatre through the main entrance.

During intermission and at the completion of the performance, only that stamped parent or family member will be allowed to enter the secured area to pick up your dancer. Please let your family members know how our security checkpoint

works so things can run smoothly.

NO PARENTS ALLOWED IN DRESSING ROOMS DURING THE PERFORMANCE

Stamped Hand Parents will only be allowed in Dressing Rooms

before and after the performance.
