2024 NYS Tourism Excellence Awards Ceremony & Reception Venue:

Saratoga Springs' Iconic Canfield Casino

We're thrilled to announce, after consulting with the NYSTIA Events Committee and Tourism Excellence Awards Committee, that the 2024 NYS Tourism Excellence Awards Ceremony & Reception will be held at the iconic and beautiful Canfield Casino, nestled in the heart of Congress Park! The presenting partner for the Awards Ceremony is Advance Media New York.

The Canfield Casino is one of Saratoga Springs' most talked about and recognizable landmarks. The Casino, originally dubbed the Saratoga Club House, was built by John Morrissey in 1870 as part of Congress Hall, which was a large resort hotel that contributed to giving Saratoga Springs its fame as the Spa City. The Casino has had a long and prominent history in the city, with illegal gambling, and rumors of paranormal activity, and most recently it has become one of the best wedding venues in Saratoga.

Just a short, 5-minute scenic walk from our host hotel, the Holiday Inn Saratoga Springs, the Canfield Casino is perfectly situated in downtown Saratoga Springs. This prime location offers you the opportunity to explore the incredible dining experiences the city has to offer while you celebrate the Awards with your tourism friends and colleagues!

⚖️ Advocacy Matters to You

All Advocacy
  • The Federal Railroad Administration announced the opening of applications for $153 million in discretionary grant funding focused on restoring former Amtrak services and enhancing existing Amtrak services. ESPA has been advocating for NYS DOT to apply for these funds to assist in the capital and operating cost of the enhancement proposals.💡 Do you have an idea on how NYS could use this grant? Share your idea and the NYSTIA Advocacy Committee will review the ideas and draft a call for action.
  • The Museums Associations of New York needs your help contacting Congress to oppose drastic IMLS funding cuts. If enacted, the bill would cut the Office Of Museum Services by $9.3 million by eliminating National Leadership Grants for Museums. Contact your representative today.

NYSTIA is committed to bolstering your advocacy efforts with the new and improved NYSTIA Advocacy Action Center!
