Your membership is essential, now more than ever! Climate change is presenting an existential threat to our community, and FIPPOA is prepared to respond.
Over the past year, FIPPOA has diligently engaged with elected officials and agencies, leading to the Army Corps of Engineers approving emergency beach repairs after destruction by Ophelia and Lee, securing cooperation for a stopgap project, and, with Actum's help, obtaining $3 million in state funding for these crucial efforts.
FIPPOA has grown as the steward of the Pines. We’ve adapted to our community’s evolving needs with innovations such as the installation of Verizon FiOS high-speed internet and the opening of Trailblazers Park. We have intensified our focus on long-term planning, with the creation of task forces on infrastructure, environment, diversity, and climate change. We’ve worked with Sayville Ferry Service to expand their schedule and continue to maintain and improve our boardwalks and harbor.
For all these reasons and so many more, we hope that we can count on you this year to join FIPPOA or renew your membership. With your membership support, we will continue to protect, preserve, and improve our beautiful community.
