The City of Brampton, Ontario, conducted a Net Zero feasibility study for a 25-year-old community building with three indoor swimming pools. The study identified two potential low-carbon scenarios, one with deep retrofits and one with low-cost measures.
“You can’t do an audit or a study on every building, so you must take a prioritized approach,” said Junaid Khan, Supervisor, Energy Management, City of Brampton.

WorkSafeBC is holding a virtual public hearing on January 10, 2024 on proposed amendments to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation. This includes proposed amendments to Part 5 relating to emergency planning.
This consultation phase is an opportunity to provide feedback, which will be carefully reviewed, before the proposed amendments are finalized. Materials for the proposed amendments and instructions on providing feedback, including how to participate at the public hearing, can be viewed by clicking on the following link:
