2024 Pacific Northwest Voyage

Plans are progressing for a great voyage to the Pacific Northwest mid-July through late September! Many groups are organizing events, including Veterans For Peace, Physicians for Social Responsibility, Quakers, Unitarians, Raging Grannies, Washington Against Nuclear Weapons, Nuclear Abolition Now, Ground Zero Center for NonViolent Action, Vancouver Peace Fair, and more!

Project Manager Consultant Needed

Veterans For Peace seeks to hire a contractor to manage the Golden Rule anti-nuclear sailboat. Helen Jaccard, the current Project Manager, will step down by of the end of 2024. From the start of the contract to year-end is a transition period, during which the new person will work side-by-side with Helen as Co-Manager.

The Project Manager implements the Golden Rule mission, to educate the public about the urgency of abolishing nuclear weapons. This requires management of the boat, crew, volunteers and local organizers. The work includes both in-home office (fall, winter, spring) and travel with the Golden Rule during the sailing seasons (summer).

Letters of inquiry / resumes are requested by June 5 to vfpgoldenruleproject@gmail.com and will be accepted until the position is filled.
