Last night, the 2024 property tax bills for Shelby County became available on our website: www.shelbycountytrustee.com

Since our office also collects the current taxes for Arlington, Lakeland, and Millington, those bills are now available as well.

The happy news for Shelby Countians is that their County tax rate was not increased.

In the next few weeks you will be receiving your tax bill in the mail unless you have opted into e-billing via PayIt901. A handy brochure with tax program information and our remote cashiering schedule for this year will be included. Please review the brochure to see if you may qualify for any of the beneficial programs such as property tax relief, property tax freeze, or the wheel tax rebate.

UPDATES:

For 2024, for the 4th year in a row, the County is matching the Tax Relief amount for eligible seniors, disabled, and disabled veterans.

Also for 2024 the income limit for seniors to qualify for Tax Freeze has been raised for Shelby County to $60,000!

Wheel Tax Rebate amounts for seniors and those with disabled tags have been raised to $75 and the income limit has been raised and will be adjusted each year instead of staying the same. Applications for the rebate are already on our website.

Applications for relief and freeze will be available later in the year and applications will be due in April 2025.

If a mortgage company paid your taxes last year, you will receive a postcard reminder of tax season. You are more than welcome to print or download your bill from our website or contact us to mail you a copy.

Just remember to pay your taxes in full by February 28th, 2025 to avoid interest.
