Dear ASCE,
The ASCE Louisiana Section Baton Rouge Branch is soliciting nominations for our annual awards. If you know someone you think is deserving, please nominate them! The nominations are due by June 1, 2024. Details and forms for each award can be downloaded from the links below. Please submit nominations via email to RJewell@Ardaman.com. Nominee requirements are summarized as follows:
OUTSTANDING YOUNG CIVIL ENGINEER AWARD
1. 35 years old or less and alive at the time of nomination.
2. A Member or Associate Member of ASCE.
3. A Member of the Louisiana Section.
4. An Engineer Intern or Licensed Professional Engineer.
OUTSTANDING CIVIL ENGINEERING EDUCATOR AWARD
1. A Faculty Member at one of the Civil or Environmental Engineering universities in the State.
2. Alive at the time of nomination.
OUTREACH AWARD
1. An Associate Member, Member, Fellow Member or Life Member of ASCE.
2. A Member of the Louisiana Section.
3. Alive at the time of nomination.
OUTSTANDING CIVIL ENGINEER AWARD
1. A Member, Fellow Member or Life Member of ASCE.
2. A Member of the Louisiana Section.
3. A Licensed Professional Engineer.
4. Alive at the time of nomination.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
1. A Fellow Member or Life Member of ASCE.
2. A Member of the Louisiana Section
3. Age 55 or older and alive at the time of nomination.
4. A Licensed Professional Engineer
WALL OF FAME AWARD
1. Nominated by his/her branch. Each Branch of the Louisiana Section of ASCE may nominate one candidate for induction into the Louisiana Section ASCE Civil Engineering Wall of Fame each year. Candidates may be nominated even if deceased.
2. Be a Fellow or Life Member of ASCE at least 55 years or older.
3. Has made significant contributions to the Civil Engineering Profession.
4. Has supported and promoted ASCE and the Civil Engineering Profession.
5. Has shown technical competence, high character, and integrity.
6. Be endorsed by three Licensed Professional Engineers not on the Board of Directors of the nominating branch.
